Today the open Beta test of Lookeen has started. Lookeen is a new search tool for Outlook 2003 and 2007. The tool can be downloaded under www.lookeen.com.
With Lookeen the user will 'find' instead of 'search', manage and organize large amounts of Outlook® information efficiently, and free up a lot of precious time for other things. Lookeen uses a simple interface integrated in Outlook. It searches with lightning speed in attachments, too (e.g. Powerpoint®, Word® or PDF-Files).
Good news for Outlook users having several PST-files (personal folder files) or additional archives or exchange stores: Lookeen search includes every store of the user's Outlook account. Furthermore the user can see correspondence with people and groups on a single click!
The sales version will be released this year, so Axonic, the manufacturer of Lookeen. Further details concerning price structures are not announced yet.

Axonic Informationssysteme GmbH, manufacturer and inventor of the Outlook® Add-In Chilibase®, is announcing its release date: from 15.04.2007 onwards, Chilibase® will be available on our download server, located on our shop sites. Chilibase® will be sold via the leading e-commerce provider Share-It.
Chilibase®, the professional outlook solution for power users with high volumes of e-mail or critical business mail-flow, will be released in the first half of 2007 and be available as a download version for EURO 49,-. Axonic Informationssysteme GmbH chief executive Martin Welker said: “Mid-size or even bigger enterprises will be offered a special condition with respect to the enterprise licence.”
First screenshots show how developers at Axonic have totally integrated the Add-In Chilibase® in Outlook®. The Chilibase® design adapts to the look of Outlook® 2003 or 2007 – all important functions can be used directly on the Outlook® user interface - no more troublesome moving to and from Outlook® and other additional software, and no more complicated working with drop submenus. “You will save time and money when working with Chilibase®”, said CEO Axonic Martin Welker, ‘’It only works if our revolutionary technique is working hand in hand with design and usability.” A link to screenshots is available at:
Chilibase®, revolutionary to users of Outlook® who suffer from acute e-mail overflow, uses a specially developed ranking technology. The term ChiliRank® has been secured as a trademark by Axonic Informationssysteme GmbH. “The ChiliRank® technology is the core component of Chilibase. It enables users to control the e-mail flood in terms of person-orientated and time saving aspects!” said Axonic COO Peter Oehler.
In Spring 2007 Axonic Informationssysteme GmbH will release an Outlook extension, which is capable of triggering of a revolution in working behaviour with Outlook. “Outlook®, using the file structures of the 90s, cannot cope with today’s e-mail overflow,” remarked Martin Welker, Axonic CEO. “We are losing our ability to keep our attention focused on what is essential while taking care of files, communicating and searching for e-mail.” The small “mail-sensation” is named Chilibase® and will help people to regain focus by means of a special innovative ranking technology. “People are the focus of e-mail communication – people do think in terms of people, rather than files,” Welker added.
